Managing Director / Producer
Managing director/producer of Fíbín Teoranta since its foundation in 2003. This pioneering theatre company was founded with the intent of providing exciting, entertaining and energetic theatre of the highest professional standards to a young audience through the medium of Irish. One of our aims was to prove that Irish Language theatre could be attractive and appealing to a young sophisticated audience, and that drama as Gaeilge could adequately deal with the complexities of modern society, and could adequately reflect and express every aspect of contemporary society: to prove to young people that an Ghaeilge can be a vibrant, living and relevant language. Coupled with this aim was a desire to produce inventive and ground-breaking theatre for young people. More recently we have taken up residency in An Taibhdhearc for a period of 3 years, a challenge we look forward too.
Darach is also a TV/Film producer who has produced over 400 hours of content.
