Founding Meeting on Zoom | 06.02.2026
The POLYPHONY Association was founded in Bautzen on 6 February 2026 as an international network for theatres and performing arts in and for Indigenous, Regional and Minoritized Languages. Building on the cooperation and experience developed through the project phōnē – Giving Minority Languages a Voice, the association provides a platform for artistic exchange, joint initiatives, and the strengthening of linguistic and cultural diversity through theatre. Its purpose is to foster sustainable collaboration among member organisations and to promote the visibility, use, and development of minoritized languages in contemporary performing arts.

European Day of Languages | 26.09.2026
The European Day of Languages on 26 September offers an important occasion for the POLYPHONY Association and its members to raise awareness of Europe’s linguistic diversity and of the challenges faced by endangered languages.
