Carolina Carballedo Penelas is part of the communication team of the Department of Culture, Education, FP and Universities of the Galician Government, which has among its responsibilities the management and promotion of culture and creative industries, historical heritage and Galician language.
Graduated in Journalism from the Faculty of Communication Sciences of the University of Santiago de Compostela, she has focused most of her professional career on institutional communication and written press. She has worked on different local communication projects, as well as in the EFE news agency or the press office of the University of Vigo, where she carried out institutional communication tasks in the field of education and innovation. She has also worked for research teams at the University of Santiago de Compostela in the field of pedagogy and special educational needs in the coordination of their online and offline communication.
In 2017 she joined the communication office of the Galician Tourism Agency and since 2020 she has been part of the communication team of the Department of Culture of the Xunta de Galicia.
